Monday

Welcome to New Zealand! After your transfer to the hostel, you’ll have time to relax and take a stroll around central Auckland.

 

Tuesday

After breakfast, you’ll head over to the hub where the nitty gritty details of your trip will be explained (e.g. bank account and IRD (tax) numbers). Back at the hostel, your guide will brief you on what fun activities lie in store then it’s time for welcome dinner and drinks!

 

Wednesday 

Heading out from your hostel on foot, your guide will walk and talk you through the changing ages of Auckland, ending at the famed Sky Tower. View the city and its landmarks in panoramic from 220 metres high.

 

Thursday 

Today you’ll head north to Paihia in the Bay of Islands, a subtropical micro-region. After checking in to the Pipi Patch backpackers, you’ll have the afternoon to chill by the pool/spa. You’ll also be in great location to the beach and town, so take a stroll before group dinner.

 

Friday

Enjoy a free morning before drinks and a BBQ aboard your overnight cruise through the Bay of Islands. After dark, enjoy a star-gazing session or have a night swim/kayak.

 

Saturday

You’ll set sail again after breakfast and enjoy a day of activities from gathering fresh sea food to visiting ancient Maori settlements. After island hopping for the day, you’ll head back to Paihia for your last night.

 

Sunday

After heading back to Auckland, you’ll check back in to your Auckland accomodation for your final night. You’ll be met by the NZ team who will offer support in deciding your next step! You'll check out on Monday morning from your accomodation. 

 

 

The Ultimate programme has set departure dates througout the year, all of which coincide with the arrival dates of our Group Flights!

Although most people head Down Under on a Group Flight some people do choose to organise their own flights. If you are heading out independently on the Ultimate programme you will need to ensure you arrive in Auckland for one of the below Ultimate start dates:
