After a long flight to New Zealand, we thought we’d give you a little lay in. In the afternoon your local guide will meet you & the rest of the group at the hostel and brief you on what is to come…Sun, sand, sailing, snorkelling, kayaking & much more! After the group meeting it’s time to head out for a welcome dinner and a couple of drinks, the perfect chance to get to know your group!
Today is about getting the nitty gritty bits out of the way. You’ll have a welcome orientation where you will find out everything you need to know about living and working in New Zealand, including a detailed job finding presentation. We will also sort out your bank account and tax number, making sure you’re ready to start earning some Kiwi $$$.  In the afternoon you’ll head out and explore Auckland on a guided walking tour. Your guide will give you the inside scoop on all the best local spots for amazing food, coffee and where to go out at night.
Today you will be experiencing the world famous, iconic Kiwi tradition – the Haka. You’ll spend the afternoon watching a Maori culture performance which will provide an insight into the history of Aotearoa New Zealand. After the show you will be free to meet, talk and take photos with members of the Kapa haka group.  After all that culture it will be time to hit the town. This evening  you’ll visit some of Auckland’s best spots on a bar crawl where you get free entry & 4 drinks along the way!
Today its time to head north to the Bay of Islands, home to 144 islands surrounded by turquoise waters.  Your base is in the popular town Paihia, which is the perfect place to explore. This laid back town is famous for sailing, fishing, nature walks, dolphin swimming or just relaxing on one of its many amazing pristine beaches. You’ll have the choice of chilling by the hostel pool, or you can take a walk and explore the local sites.  Tonight you’ll have a group dinner to discuss the itinerary for the next day’s trip to Cape Reinga & 90 Mile Beach!
