Ever thought about traveling to Western Australia? On our Work Australia Job Before You Go program, it’s easier than ever! During your six-months of work at one of Western Australia’s top resorts, we’re sure that you’ll want to make the most of your free time and that’s why we’ve put together a list of some of Western Australia’s best kept secrets.

Lake Ballard

Recognized as Australia’s largest outdoor gallery, Lake Ballard is one destination that you’ll want to put at the top of your bucket list. It is a dry salt lake with 51 sculptures installed on the bed of the lake. Visit Lake Ballard at sunrise to witness vibrant hues of orange and yellow.

Located on the south coast of Western Australia, Esperance has one of Australia’s most incredible, white sand beaches. Spend a few days exploring the beaches, authentic pubs and over 100 islands offshore. You may even see a few kangaroos roaming around!

Port Gregory Pink Lake

No trip to Western Australia is complete without visiting the insta-worthy Pink Lake (Hutt Lagoon). The lake takes on a pink hue due to the unique algae and bacteria. The lake transforms from a bubblegum pink to lilac purple and even to red depending on the time of day and season.

Wave Rock

One of Australia’s largest waves isn’t located near the ocean. Wave Rock is a set in the outback located near the town of Hyden. At 110 meters long and 15 meters high, this granite cliff is shaped like a massive wave. Spend a day following the walking trails around the base and over the top.

The Pinnacles

As Western Australia’s most visited attraction, the Pinnacles Is a must-see. These natural limestone structures stand as high as five meters and were formed some 25,000 years ago. The Pinnacles is known to be one of the best spots to see the stars and even witness the Milky Way in all its glory.

Emma Gorge Waterfall

A one-hour scenic walk will land you in front of the 65-meter Emma Gorge Waterfall, surrounded by cliffs and greenery. Choose to spend the day relaxing next to the waterhole or dive into the pool of fresh water; either way, this is one attraction you won’t want to miss out on.
