Arrival Orientation

When you arrive into Australia you will be picked up by a member of the team from the airport and then your 3 day arrival orientation will begin. Your orientation is set-up to help you adjust to your new surroundings, set up all the essentials for working in Australia and lots of fun stuff to kick start your working holiday adventure! This is what you can expect from your arrival orientation.

Day 1

Arrive into Sydney and meet your Australia Co-ordinator at the airport before being whisked off to your accommodation.

In the afternoon, you'll head off to discover some of Sydney’s most popular sites on a group walking tour.

In the evening you’ll have a group welcome dinner which is the perfect time to chill and get to know the group.  If you want to carry the night on you’ll have free entry to a nightclub to kick start your time Down Under.

Day 2

Choose between a full day Blue Mountains trip or a surf lesson (both trips include lunch).

Blue Mountains 8am - 5pm
Surf 11am - 5pm

After a full day of fun, its time to enjoy Sydney’s famous nightlife.  Head off for a night out at the biggest backpacker/student night in Australia including a free drink and entry.

Day 3

In the morning you will have a full orientation setting up your bank account, tax file number, Medicare card and all the essential information for working in Australia. After setting up all the essentials in the morning you’ll have some free time to relax or explore Sydney in the afternoon.

Although your adventure has only just begun it’s your last night as a group before you all head off onto your placements! Enjoy your final night with the group with a free drink and entry to a nightclub before you all head off to explore Australia.

Day 4

After checking out of your hostel it's time to say your goodbyes. You'll then head off to your pre-arranged long term accommodation in Sydney or fly/bus/train to your placement location.

Your placement starts on Monday, so you will have the weekend to settle in and relax after your first few days in Sydney.
