Queensland: The Sunshine State, has plenty of contrasting opportunities for volunteer programmes. Mackay is halfway between Brisbane and Cairns and offers dramatic coastlines, rainforests, beaches and islands. Projects will take place in and around Mackay as well as further afield.

Townsville

Tasmania: Australia’s only island state is known for it’s fabulous beaches, historic towns and villages. Combine this with Tasmania’s artistic and cultural learnings, it is the ideal location for a volunteer programme.

Hobart

Western Australia: Perth has more hours of sunshine than any other city and is famous for its long days of sunshine, blue skies and brilliant beaches. With over 12,000 kilometres of crystal-clear coastline you’ll be in a prime location for experiencing Australia's beach culture.

Perth

Broome

Northern Territory: Darwin, was founded as Australia's most northerly harbour port in 1869, the tropical capital city of the Northern Territory. With national parks, beaches and world heritage areas within reach, projects take place in and around Darwin as well as it’s more remote locations.

Darwin

South Australia: Is the driest State in Australia! With over 20% of South Australia protected in parks and reserves, there’s plenty of opportunity to spot wildlife on outback projects, or enjoy more urban projects in the beautiful city of Adelaide.

Adelaide

Victoria: Is Australia’s second-smallest State known for being home to the cosmopolitan city of Melbourne, as well as the worlds most famous coastal drive. Packed with great landscapes including beaches, mountains and stunning national parks and reserves all just an hour from Sydney by plane. Projects in Melbourne take place in urban areas as well as the immediate city surroundings.

Your Base

With all accommodation included in your experience, you can relax after a hard days work volunteering. With varying types of accommodation in keeping with whatever project you might find yourself doing, be prepared to bunk up with your new buddies in tents, hostels, volunteer houses and more.

Be sure to bring your rubber gloves and culinary skills though, as you’ll be expected to pull your weight and help with the cooking and the cleaning in the evenings. Don’t panic if you can’t cook; anyone can chop vegetables!
