We'll get the lowdown on their experience, find out what life is like at camp and why you should definitely take the plunge and apply to the programme. Meet Natalie who hails from the land of the Potters - Stoke-On-Trent. This summer she's been living the dream working as a camp counsellor and Circus coach (yes, you heard that right!) at Camp JCC in Pittsburgh. She chats to us about how camp smashed her expectations and reveals her sound advice for future BUNACers looking to have an amazing summer in the USA.

1. What were your first impressions of camp when you arrived? 

My first impressions, I was nervous, but everyone was really welcoming and I soon realised quite a few people where in the same position as me as it was their first year. I soon became more realized when getting to know everyone.

2. What is your role at camp and what are you teaching?

I worked as a circus coach so I taught, Fabric, triple trap, web, jump rope and hula hoop. At the same time, I was responsible for looking  after a specific age group of campers throughout the day and night.

3. What has been your favourite moment so far?

My favourite moment was so many, getting to travel so much of America while working, meeting so many great people and families, and getting some life long friends.

4. What has been your biggest challenge since arriving at camp?

My biggest challenge was learning new skills that I would then have to go and teach to children.

5. Has camp met your expectations?

Camp was 10 times better than anything I could have imagined.

6. Do you plan to do any travelling after camp? If so, where?

I did some travelling after camp but did a lot with my line of work, my favourite places to travel where NYC and New Orleans.

7. What is the best thing about being a camp counsellor?

The best thing is working with the children and seeing how much you can teach someone and become so close to them just after a week.

8. What advice would you give to anyone thinking of applying for Summer Camp 2016?

Just go for it and do it, you will not regret it as it will be one of the greatest experiences of your life.
