What were the highlights of your job?

The best thing about my job was working with such a great, international team. Everybody was really friendly and it meant we were in the same boat, experiencing similar emotions.

What advice would you have for someone considering signing up to Work America?

I would say that this is the best thing you could do. Travelling and exploring a new culture comes with a lot of benefits! You learn a lot from the experience and also from the people you meet - when you go back to your country you take home with you the most wonderful memories.

Meet Emily! She worked  at Fishers Island Club in New York, too. Check out her full blog and read a couple of snippets below:

Did you do much travelling after you finished your summer job?

We ventured around the North East, so New York City, Vermont and Cape Cod, as well as heading to Florida and Los Angeles - LA being my personal favourite!

And what were the highlights of your job and summer in general?

Living on Fishers Island meant going to the beach was so convenient - a perfect place to spend your work break or a whole day off. Plus, living so close to NYC had its perks!
