Education doesn’t always have to be in the four walls of a classroom. Whether you didn’t get the results you wanted or if you’re not too sure what to do before or after university, you could be jetting off on a brand new adventure abroad! With loads of exciting overseas programmes to choose from, you can be assured that BUNAC will help you every step of the way.

Work Abroad

Are you the adventurer type that wants to let loose, forget about studying and have the most amazing time in a foreign country whilst earning money to fund your travels? Then perhaps our Work Abroad programmes in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Japan or America are for you. Choose from a variety of job roles, including:

  • Hospitality (waitstaff, bartenders etc.)
  • Nanny / Au Pair
  • Retail & Sales Assistants
  • English Teachers
  • Fruit pickers and farm workers
  • Lifeguard

Summer Camp USA

If you’re American dreaming and longing for a summer Stateside, then why not become a Summer Camp USA Counsellor or Activity Specialist? We’ve sent over 400,000 staff to work at Summer Camps in the USA, so it’s fair to say we are the Summer Camp experts.

As a Camp Counsellor, you’ll be in charge of American children on their summer vacation at camp – which means lots of fun, games, and making some life-long friendships with fellow BUNACers.  If you’ve got loads of experience teaching a particular sport or activity, try out the Activity Specialist role and teach the children new skills such as swimming, high-ropes, horse riding, arts & craft, magic and performance.

Doing a TEFL (Teach English as a Foreign Language) programme is a fantastic way to travel, earn some extra cash and make a difference to local school children in another country. Gain your qualification before you go, then fly out to China, Thailand or Vietnam and spend up to five months teaching children English.

Volunteering is a really great way to show employers that you’re capable of working abroad in your spare time for the greater good. Whether you want to take part in a Wildlife & Conservation programme in Mexico, Thailand or South Africa (to name a few) or if you want to work with indigenous communities in Borneo and Philippines on our mixed conservation, community and Eco-tourism Multi Project programme, we have the opportunity to suit you perfectly.

Professional Internships

Still prefer some structure to your days outside of the classroom now that exams are over? If you’re a student or graduate looking for an opportunity to get your foot in the door in the world of work, you could take part in one of our Professional Internships programmes in the USA, Canada, New Zealand or Australia! These programmes are great if you want to stand out from your peers, and gain professional experience while exploring a new country. You can choose to do your internship in one of the following:

Have we convinced you to take a step out of the classroom and into the world of travel and adventure? Great! Then start your application with us for any of our programmes – give the team a call on 0333 999 7516 or email enquiries@bunac.org.uk if you have any questions.
