Here at BUNAC HQ we love to share the some of the spectacular sites that are happening around the world at various BUNAC locations. One of which is the amazing Manhattanhenge which happens twice a year, lighting up the Manhattan streets.
The Manhattanhenge is a phenomenon that happens in Manhattan New York twice a year. This is the sun aligning with the grid-like streets of Manhattan, stopping people in their tracks to admire and capture this rare phenomenon. Although this phenomenon happens in other cities around the world, because of the clear view of the horizon that Manhattan has, and the high-rise buildings that dominate the city's skyline, it creates an almost perfect stream of light directly through the skyscrapers.
You can witness this urban phenomenon for yourself through our USA Work abroad programmes. Our extremely popular USA programmes usually close in the spring, so be sure to apply early in the autumn! Sign up to our email alerts so not to miss out on this amazing experience!
