Here at BUNAC we pride ourselves on our sense of team spirit, love for travel and expertise across all of our departments - that's why we want you to get to know us. Meet Emma, BUNAC's Intern in Britain Operations Coordinator who just returned from an incredible 2 years living in New Zealand! Check out some of her amazing travel adventures!

Name: Emma Thami
Job title: Intern in Britain – Operations Coordinator
Describe yourself in three words: Organised, laid back, friendly
What’s your fave song to sing to in the shower? September – Earth, Wind and Fire
If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be? Poutine (Chips, cheese and gravy!) or any style of chips!
Where is your dream city that you want to live? Vancouver... close to the water AND the mountains!

Where’s next on your travel bucket list? Japan! After working in hotels and welcoming the friendliest Japanese guests, I would love to experience their culture in a country that fuses ancient traditions and modern life so effortlessly! And who wouldn’t love to ski the most amazing, deepest, softest powder in the world?!
Tell us about your favourite travelling memory: Spending five days trekking 100km across the Sahara Desert in Morocco (for charity...not just for fun!), star-gazing at night and sleeping in Bedouin tents in the middle of nowhere! The worst part? The pain of losing a toe nail, blisters and the aches after walking nearly 25km a day in 30 degree heat!
Why do you love working for BUNAC? The company has so many great options for anyone looking to travel and work abroad, so it’s great I get to help people with their choices...plus I get to talk about my own travel experiences and hear about others too!
What would you say to someone who was unsure about going travelling? Do your initial research but don’t plan everything to the last detail, sometimes you need to just go with the flow! Travelling is a great way to meet new people, experience different cultures and be adventurous so embrace it!
AND LASTLY, what is your travel philosophy? “I haven’t been everywhere, but it’s on my list” - 35 countries down, 165 to go!
