Meet the awesome Liv, BUNAC's Work Abroad Coorinator. She's from New Zealand and is loving UK life on her Working Holiday over here. Check out some of her amazing travel advice and experiences.

Name: Olivia Turner

Job title: Work Abroad Coordinator

Describe yourself in three words: Curious, organised, passionate

What’s your fave song to sing to in the shower?: Mr Brighside - The Killers

If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?: Teryiaki Chicken on Rice

Where is your dream city that you want to live?: New York City

Where’s next on your travel bucket list?: While I have already visited a couple of the Greek Islands, it is definetly on my bucket list to visit some more, such as Santorini, Samos, Ios, Zakynthos, Kos, Corfu, Rhodes and many more.

Tell us about your favourite travelling memory: The feeling you get after saving up so much for the trip of a lifetime and then getting to have the experience of a lifetime is priceless. My favourite travel memory would be from the Contiki I was on before starting my Working Holiday here in the UK. We travelled to Austria for two days, in which we completed a 20km bikeride, paraglided and went white water rafing within a 24 hour period. It was the best 24 hours of my life!

Why do you love working for BUNAC?: Helping people to travel overseas and see the world and experience what I am currently doing in their dream destination excites me. I love helping to make their dreams come true by simply providing the support they need in order to get them overseas. It is also great working with so many programmes worldwide which allows me to learn more about these great destinations.

What would you say to someone who was unsure about going travelling?:

To me, I find living in a world of ‘what ifs’ to be to painful, as life is all about the experiences you have. So instead of living in a world of regret, it is good to take life one step at a time and enjoy every moment as the opportunities won’t always be available to you.

AND LASTLY, what is your travel philosophy?: Travelling is all about the journey, from the minute you research a destination on a computer to experiencing the destination. Travelling allows us to see sides of ourseleves and come to realisations we never thought possible and it is not until you give yourself the freedom to get lost that you will truly understand yourself.
