Finding a job

While Working in Ireland you can choose to work anywhere in country, the vibrant city of Dublin, or somewhere like Cork or Galway with a slower pace and stunning coastlines, or anywhere in between! Every day you will be learning about your new country and its people first-hand.

Past participants have typically worked in restaurants, cafes, bars, banks, hotels, offices and libraries. Determined, career-minded students have found positions in architecture, theater and computer programming!

Participants should be motivated and flexible self-starters with a willingness to be truly independent. It may be harder to find work during July and early August so summer participants are encouraged to try to arrive in Ireland in May and early June to beat the job rush. September is also a great time to arrive as employers are usually preparing for holiday season. During holiday season hiring may be a bit slower, however our participants do find jobs all times of year.
