KAMP USA - The Kitchen and Maintenance Program

BUNAC provides a full service for ALL your staffing needs. In addition to helping with your counselor requirements, we can provide kitchen assistants (skilled and unskilled), maintenance staff, drivers, laundry assistants, cleaning personnel (both domestic and ‘dirty’ work), chambermaids, security/nightwatchmen, admin staff and so on. We provide these ancillary staff through our KAMP USA (Kitchen and Maintenance Program) program, under the sponsorship of IENA’s Summer Work/Travel J-1 program. All applicants to KAMP USA must be over 18, full-time students and have completed at least one full year in college and be returning to full-time study after the summer.

This is the 30th year of KAMP USA and we can honestly say that this program changed the face of American camping by being the first to offer quality service personnel for areas which had previously been a problem for directors. Participants for KAMP USA are mainly recruited in Britain, Russia, Macedonia, Holland, Germany and France. As with Summer Camp USA, applicants are individually matched with camps according to their background, skills and experience and in accordance with the needs of the camp.

Information for the 2009 KAMP program will be available in November.
