How it works

In order to help students obtain a job, BUNAC compiles summer and winter job directories. These list US employers who are willing to hire BUNAC students for the summer or winter season. You can list any vacancies in either or both directories.

Students receive the directory when they apply to the BUNAC program. If they feel they match your requirements, they will apply directly to you.

By advertising in our Job Directory you are under no obligation to hire a BUNAC applicant, however if you do offer a student a job we do expect you to honour that commitment and treat them fairly. Please respond to any enquiry as promptly as possible so that our participants can look for another job if necessary. We do stress to our participants that they must also honour any commitment that they make to an employer, arriving on time and staying until the agreed departure date.

Last year nearly 200 hundred employers took advantage of this free service and we listed thousands of jobs.

Accommodation

You are under no obligation to provide accommodation for our members. However, when searching for a job, many students first choose those jobs which also offer housing.

If you are unable to provide accommodation, the more help you can give in helping to arrange accommodation, the more successful you are likely to be.

Please be aware that we advise students not to enter into long-term, prepaid housing arrangements before arrival unless they are very sure that they can honour this commitment.
