If you find yourself longing for home this 4th of July while you’re living overseas then worry not; you can still get your USA fix while abroad! Americans living abroad put on blowout celebrations all around the world for the 4th. Here are a few celebrations in our host countries that will get you in the American spirit.

                                   

ENGLAND’S ‘AMERICAN INDEPENDENCE DAY PICNIC’
Where: Portman Square Garden; London Entrance on Wigmore St W1H 7BH
When: Sunday, July 6 from Noon- 5:00 PMBST

Every year more than 2,000 people get together in London’s Portman Square for a picnic with hot dogs, burgers, face paint and good ol’ tug-of-war. Everyone is welcome to the party but only US citizens can purchase the tickets.

IRELAND’s 3RD ANNUAL ‘IRISH AMERICA DAY’
Where: New Ross, Co. Wexford
When: July 4th from Noon-10:30PM
Cost: Free!

Since 2012, New Ross has put on a day of celebration in recognition of the ties not only Ireland has with the United States but also New Ross itself. US President John F Kennedy’s great-grandparents emigrated from New Ross and they have immortalized his accomplishments with a JFK Memorial Statue in the city. Join New Ross on the 4th and take part in a Declaration of Independence reading at noon, heaps of activities throughout the day and fireworks starting at 10:30PM.

AUCKLAND’S ‘JULY 4TH INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION’
Where:

SYDNEY’S ‘4TH OF JULY-BIGGEST IN THE SOUTHERN HEMISPHERE’
