Eligibility
You can apply as a non-student if you are;
- Aged 18 – 30 at the time of the visa application (you can enter Canada when you turn 31)
and,
- A British passport holder.
You can apply as a student if you are;
- Aged 18 – 30 inclusive at the time of the visa application and a current full-time degree level student at a UK university OR hold an unconditional offer to begin university in 2008 or 2009 to study a full-time degree level course (this may be suitable for 'A'-level students once they receive their results in August).
and,
- A British passport holder.
Please note that you can only hold each visa once in your lifetime.
Please contact us if you have held a work visa to Canada previously (either through BUNAC or from the High Commission directly) as this may affect your eligibility for Work Canada .
If you have a Canadian partner*, you may not be eligible to apply to the Work or Gap Canada programme. If you have a UK partner* who is not taking part in the Work or Gap Canada programme, this may also affect your application. If either of these apply to you, please contact BUNAC before you apply to the programme.
* Partner means engaged, married, or have lived together for more than twelve months.
