Extra arrival accommodation
Your Work Australia Essentials package includes 2 night’s pre-booked arrival accommodation
in a centrally located backpacker’s hostel. You can upgrade this to a total of 7
night’s (including breakfast) allowing you a leisurely introduction to your new
surroundings.
This package costs £128 for 5 extra night’s dormitory style accommodation on a bed
and breakfast basis.
Surf packages
We have some great surf packages which set-off from Sydney, Melbourne and Perth.
A surf course is a fantastic way to start your trip and it is popular for people
taking the BUNAC group flights to do a surf school together. Book before you go
and confirm your course dates with the Work n Holiday travel desk on arrival in
Australia.
The ultimate learn to surf package. Lessons for all abilities based around the amazing
7 Mile Beach National Park, south of Sydney. Live the life of a surfer and experience
Australian beach culture. Surf camp includes return transfers from Sydney, 4 nights’
beachside accommodation, ALL meals at the camp, 6 progressive surf lessons every
day using Rip Curl surf equipment with qualified instructors. Find out more

4-day Great Ocean Road Surf Course – Melbourne
Learn how to surf on the beaches of Great Ocean Road (which runs along the coast
between Melbourne and Adelaide) and see the famous Bells Beach. The surf course
includes return transfers from Melbourne, 3 nights’ surf cabin accommodation, breakfast
and lunch at the camp, progressive surf lessons, as well as all surf equipment.
The course costs £345 and runs between September and July.
4-day Surf Course – Perth
Learn how to surf on a beautiful beach north of Perth and experience the surf culture
in a relaxed location by the beach. The course includes all transfers from Perth
to Perth, 3 nights’ surfers lodge accommodation, 5 hours surfing per day, quality
surf equipment and breakfast and lunch every day at the camp.
The course costs £360 and runs between September and July
Skills package
With two training courses before you start job hunting this is a CV-enhancing programme,
ideal if you are considering working in a bar, restaurant or café. The skills package
includes a Responsible Sale of Alcohol Course, needed to work in many bars across
Australia; and a Barista Course, which trains you to operate a commercial espresso
machine and create beautiful espresso-based coffees. (This package does not include
accommodation.)
This package is available in Sydney (£180), Melbourne (£145), Brisbane (£150) and
Perth (£145). Courses are run daily (Monday - Friday) and BUNAC's Australian partner
Work n Holiday will pre-book the course dates to coincide with your arrival into
Australia.
Note: the RSA certificates are provincial. Some States/Territories may require you
to do a top up course if you hold another States certificate.
WWOOF package
Travel around Australia living and working with Australian farming families. You’ll
exchange a few hours’ work for free food and accommodation, and an experience no
other traveller will be able to match.
Membership to Willing Workers on Organic Farms (WWOOF) provides:
- Access to 1500+ host properties throughout Australia
- Food and accommodation in exchange for a few hours work a day
- Varied work experience including organic gardening, permaculture, biodynamics, feeding
and planting

Fraser Island package
Explore the largest sand island in the world, enjoy a 4WD tour, guided walks and
get to see the icons of Fraser Island including the subtropical rainforest, Lake
