We ask that you include a £400 deposit at the time that you make your application (which will be deducted from your programme fee). The balance of the programme cost is due no less than 8 weeks before your programme start date.
If for any reason BUNAC rejects your application your deposit will be refunded in full. Full cancellation terms are provided in the Programme Terms and Conditions which are viewed as part of the online application.

Please note: This is a very popular programme with limited places, and so it would be wise to check the availability of your preferred departure date, project and duration with BUNAC before submitting your application. If arrival dates are listed as 'Full' it may be that additional spaces become available at a later time.
Flights
BUNAC’s preferred travel agent is STA Travel and they will be able to help you book your flights to and from South Africa. We discuss travel plans with all volunteers and encourage you to travel on the same flights where practical.
Alternatively, if you’d like to arrange completely independent travel then you’re more than welcome to as long as you arrive in Johannesburg for the start of the orientation.
When should I apply?
The latest date we can consider your application is 6 weeks before your UK departure date. However, places are available on a first come first served basis so we recommend that you apply as soon as you can.
