Training

• 5-day training orientation conducted by the Ministry of Education staff
• Training and guidance for teaching in Chile, including microteaching, classroom management skills, lesson planning and information about the Chilean education system.
• Centrally located accommodation (in Santiago) including meals.

Placement

• Return transfers to placement (by bus/plane depending on location)
• Accommodation with host family including 3 meals a day
• Basic teaching materials and educational resources to be used in school
• Teaching and logistical support
• Certification by the Chilean Ministry of Education on completion of the programme
• Volunteer bonus of 60,000 Chilean Pesos (approximately £75) per month pro rata
• Assistance obtaining Chile ID card

Accommodation

• Volunteers live with host families while on project. During the arrival period, a combination of host family and hostel will be used.
• Food is included during arrival period and whilst on project
