Costs & Dates

We ask that you include a £400 deposit at the time that you make your application (which will be deducted from the programme fee above). The balance of the programme cost is due no less than 8 weeks before your programme start date.

If for any reason BUNAC rejects your application your deposit will be refunded in full. Full cancellation terms are provided in the Programme Terms and Conditions which are viewed as part of the online application.

Most flights from the UK travel overnight so it’s likely you’ll need to start your trip the day before the listed Arrival Date.

Please note:

• The 10th and 31st March start dates are available for a 4 or 8 month programme
• The 9th June start date is a 6 month programme only
• The 21st July programme is a 4 month programme only
• The exact duration differs depending on the departure

We will discuss your travel plans with you during your Orientation Interview. BUNAC’s travel partner is STA Travel and they will help you to book your flights to and from South America. We discuss travel plans with all volunteers and encourage you to travel on the same flights where practical, we will also put you in touch with each other before departure.

At the time of writing there aren’t any direct flights to Santiago, so you should expect to travel via another international airport as part of your trip.

Deadlines for this programme are early and strict due to the visa application process. We would strongly advise you apply before the dates listed above.
