We ask that you pay the full programme cost at the time that you make your online application.
If for any reason BUNAC rejects your application your payment will be refunded in full. Full cancellation terms are provided in the Programme Terms and Conditions which form part of the downloaded application pack.

You’ll be responsible for your travel arrangements to the Island. However, our knowledgeable team will be pleased to help you choose the most suitable travel plan. In addition we will put you in contact with our travel partner providing access to 1,000’s of discounted fares.
Most people will fly to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and there is a public shuttle bus which will take you to Long Beach for the ferry. We’ll provide more information as part of the application process.
In the majority of cases British and Irish passport holders will travel on the US Visa Waiver Programme, which allows unpaid voluntary project work for stays of no more than 90 days. You can check if you are eligible for the visa waiver here.
If you’d like to stay in America for a longer period you will need to apply for a tourist visa. Full information will be provided by BUNAC on acceptance to the programme.
The latest date we can consider your application is usually 4 weeks before your UK departure date. However, this is a popular programme and places are available on a first come first served basis. We recommend that you apply as soon as you can.
