Student status required for KAMP
Flights: Option to arrange own or buy a BUNAC flight
Duration: Up to 4 months between May – October

Returner costs

BUNAC returner fee £245
(£295 for applications submitted after 1 March 2012)

What does this include?

  • BUNAC administration and visa preparation costs
  • Choice of flight option with no deductions from your salary and no charges to your camp
  • 4 months comprehensive insurance (medical and baggage)
  • SEVIS administration fee

Eligibility

To apply as a returner you should:

  • Have previously held a J-1 camp counsellor visa (for Summer Camp USA returner) or a J-1 camp support staff visa (for KAMP returner)
  • Be any nationality living in the UK or Ireland
  • Be aged 18 years old or older
  • (For KAMP (support staff only) Be a full-time degree level university student

Other costs

Police Background Check £35     
All UK applicants will be required to provide a current background check through ACRO. Irish applicants will need to apply for and submit a Police Certificate.
Visa processing fee  £115
The US Embassy charge a processing and courier fee and you will pay this at the time you apply for your visa.There may be extra charges for certain nationality passport holders (not UK or Ireland) – please contact BUNAC for advice.
