How BUNAC participants can play their part
On a BUNAC programme, you have the chance to live in another culture. BUNAC participants become part of a community and get to know what it’s like to live and work there, in a way that a short-term visitor never can.
All BUNAC participants should be prepared to respect the local culture and traditions of their host country. However there are many other ways in which BUNAC participants can ensure they are travelling in a responsible manner. This can include something as simple as learning a few words of the local language to buying local produce to offsetting the carbon emissions produced by your flight.
