Operations Co-ordinator

Dates of employment: 12 month fixed term contract (Maternity Cover)

Hours: Full-time 9.30 to 5.30, Monday to Thursday (and 5pm on Friday) including some weekends in May/June

Salary: £21k dependant on skills and experience

Based in BUNAC’s London office.

This is a largely autonomous role which involves co-ordinating the US flights & Insurance for BUNAC’s J1 Visa programmes.

The position is highly administrative with the main purpose being control of flights, associated data/financial inputting and also the co-ordination of the distribution of important travel documents. You will need to be a quick, accurate and methodical worker.

The job will involve many varied and sometimes mundane, but necessary tasks including stuffing envelopes etc. Applicants must have previous office experience preferably in a supervisory role. Strong computer skills (specifically accurate data input), the ability to prioritise and work to deadlines and excellent communication skills and work under pressure are a pre-requisite. The successful candidate will be adaptable and flexible by nature so happy to work beyond the contracted hours if necessary to complete each days work load. Mature and able to offer a friendly and professional service both internally and externally, this person will have a good sense of humour and be both hard working and resilient.

Personal experience of a BUNAC programme in North America preferable.
