If you’d prefer to make alternative plans then you’re more than welcome to as long as you arrive in time for the start of the orientation. Please make sure you provide BUNAC with proof of your return trip so that we can arrange your airport pick up.
Yes. You will have to be fully insured throughout your trip. BUNAC's fully comprehensive insurance policy has been arranged with Endsleigh, one of the UK's leading insurance companies. You have the choice of whether you book your insurance with BUNAC or if you want to book independently, but it must cover you for diving up to 40 metres.
Yes. You will need to have your PADI Open water qualification before you start the programme. If you don’t already have your PADI open water you can do this in the UK before you leave, or our local partners can arrange it prior to starting your internship in country.
During your placement you’ll generally have weekends free to travel and explore the local area. There are loads of great things to do on your days off including swimming with Whale sharks, heading to a five star beach resort and lots more. Before and after you internship you can also arrange independent travel to explore the countries highlights.
Yes, you will need a visa. When you book onto the programme we will discuss the visa requirements with you in more detail.
