Work Canada 2009

Non-student Work Canada is now CLOSED.

There are no more non-student visas available for the 2009 programme. Visas will be available for the 2010 programme in December 09, please check the website regularly for more information.

Visas are still available for students and recent graduates.

To familiarise yourself with the programme and application procedure, you must download and read the full Work Canada application literature here before completing this online application form.

The online application should only take about 15 minutes to complete. You will need the following for your application:

• Credit/debit card for the application fee (£205 for first time applicants, £175 for returning applicants).
  
  
• A current e-mail address so that we can send you an e-mail confirmation of your programme application and payment.
  
  
• Passport details.
  NB: If you are currently waiting for a replacement or renewal passport, please tick this box .
  
  

Important Updates

• You are now eligible for the student programme if you submit your work authrisation application within 12 months of having graduated (from a full-time degree level course in the UK).



• There is no limit on how many times you can apply to the student programme as long as you are eligible, repeat participation is allowed.



• You no longer have to be resident in the UK at the time of application but must be a ‘habitual resident’ which means not having resided outside the UK for more than 4 consecutive years.

All of the above eligibility criteria is specified by the Canadian High Commission, they have the right to amend this criteria or refuse any application if they feel it is necessary.
